New Years Eve

Today I asked the kids to make a list with 5 things they would like to do this year. Places we could go as a family.

Here they are:

Elissa could only come up with three but they are good ones:

1. Go see the Gingerbread Houses in Seattle - 2009 Christmas
2. Have the whole family build a fort in the back yard.
3. Ride in a horse drawn carriage in Seattle.

Hailey

1. Skateboard park
2. Kangaroo farm
3. Husky Softball game
4. Marymoor dog park with Lou
5. Seattle Zoo
6. Jonas Brothers Concert.

I then asked her to add some more outings that would be free and she added these three:

1. Pike Place Market
2. Explore Beaver Lake trails
3. Go see Snoqualmie Falls.

Caden needed my help but these were his first answers:

1. Go to Madigascar
2. See a Snow Village

As you can see not within my power at this point so I helped him compile the following list.

1. Seattle Aquarium
2. Zoo
3. Skateboard park
4. Car races
5. Children's museum

Mom's list:

1. Drive in theater
2. Lots of street fairs
3. Take a week to drive through parts of Eastern Washington and do some camping
4. Take the kids to the ocean
5. Mount Rainier

I haven't really taken the kids to explore due to Cadens age but with him being 5 soon there is no reason we can't start to take longer adventures. I will be typing up the lists and putting it on the refrigerator and we will check things off as we do them.

It will be fun to see their list next year. I hope to see it expand when their experiences expand!

Today is the last day of the year......."Here's to new adventures, happier time!"

Santa's gifts to the kids

Hailey's board had only two wheels, one in front and one in back. She has really gotten the hang of it quickly!

Elissa has a traditional board and is doing quite well learning the in's and out's.

Caden's board has a handle and is a little big. It's made for 6 years and up but he's so coordinated he has really gotten the hang of it like his sisters.
